Special is not a network with headquarters in London, Paris or New York. With offices in countries across Asia Pacific and with staff numbers in the thousands controlled by corporate structure and hierarchy. That’s because Special was founded to be the exact opposite of that... Special’s founding vision was to turn the marketing world on its head. To take innovative, ambitious creativity and create a network from the bottom of the world up. To innovate, to chart a new path. To create a network where culture and values are seen as our most important clients. To be more creative, more effective and to lift the bar - not just across Asia Pacific, but the world. In 2021, this vision that many called crazy was achieved with Campaign UK naming Special as “Global Creative Agency of the Year”. The entry covered offices in Auckland, Sydney, Melbourne (and our 6 month old Los Angeles office) and beat stellar finalists Mother London, BBH Singapore and Adam&Eve DDB London. It’s worth reading that paragraph again...

It’s the first time ever an agency or network from the southern hemisphere has won such recognition. And it’s proof that this modern network is something very Special indeed.
