In 2023, Ogilvy demonstrated its ability to use creativity as a force multiplier that drives results for clients, helps solve their complex problems, and ultimately creates unreasonable impact. Ogilvy focused on the basics: care obsessively about our clients, attract and retain top talent, stay curious about emerging technologies, and embrace the ethos of borderless creativity – delivering for clients by working fluidly across the breadth of the agency’s capabilities and geographies. Ogilvy’s response to briefs was bigger, fueled with insight and brave creative ideas. This was reflected by the agency repeatedly being recognized by the industry for the twin peaks of success: creative excellence and effectiveness, ranking as the #1 network on both WARC’s Creative 100 and Effective 100. Despite economic and geopolitical headwinds, Ogilvy delivered its third consecutive year of growth, which included one of the single largest account wins of the past decade with Verizon – the kind of move that has only happened recently at the holding company level. Following the release of its 2023 earnings, WPP CEO Mark Read called out Ogilvy as a standout performer in an interview with Campaign noting there has been “a renaissance in the business.”
