Zulu Alpha Kilo

Canada

It takes more than a pandemic to slow down Toronto’s Zulu Alpha Kilo. In fact, it has pushed them to even greater heights. Since founding the agency in 2008, Zak Mroueh and his team have been building Zulu’s global creative reputation year after year. This last year was no exception, proving to be the best in the agency’s history.

The agency took control of its future with the purchase of its own building, a custom-designed hybrid working space for post-pandemic times. In 2021, Mroueh was also further freed up to focus on the shop’s creative product by promoting president and partner Mike Sutton to CEO. In a continued demonstration of industry leadership, Zulu created a video that satirized the bad habit agencies have of going to extreme lengths to chase creative awards. It debuted at Canada’s annual Agency of the Year competition in November 2021 to rave reviews. https://www.forbes.com/sites/avidan/2021/11/30/zulo-alpha-kilo-is-the-snl-of-agencies/?sh=12cac9892d01 Forbes and Fast Company called Zulu’s work “game-changing” and among the “most innovative.” The UK’s Creativepool awarded Zulu International Agency of the Year. The Drum UK awarded the agency the Grand Prix for Digital Advertising. And Zulu won three golds at AdAge’s Small Agency of the Year, the most golds of any agency.
