United KingdomIn 2021, VMLY&R experienced its most transformative business year ever in EMEA. The agency’s leader Andrew Dimitriou further unified the freshly formed global agency, fostered cross-border collaboration, thrived to become our client most important partner and kicked off a robust internal transformation programme.
His efforts resulted in 17% organic growth in our top 25 clients YOY and a whopping $72 million in new business. He also led the region to outstanding recognition for creativity and strategy with over 200 awards won, including five Grand Prix, supporting our global network win as Campaign ‘Best of the Best: Creative Network.’ Andrew oversaw employee headcount rising by almost 60%, with his region now encompassing more than 4,500 people across 24 offices. Conscious of remote and hybrid working challenges, he created employee programming to address DEI, mental health, parenting and caring support and entertainment. Andrew believes VMLY&R’s breadth and depth of BX and CX with commerce at the centre uniquely position it to help businesses grow. So, he doubled down on these capabilities. In 2021 EMEA showed double-digit growth in CX and successful integrated VMLY&R COMMERCE to the agency offering. Andrew is committed to reducing the emissions from our operations to net-zero by 2025.
