Alex Myers

Manifest

United Kingdom

Alex Myers started Manifest from a kitchen table in 2009. Since then, it has opened five studios across the world, produced industry-defining work for brands such as Tommee Tippee, Logitech, Hotels.com and Samsung, won countless awards and grown to a turnover breaking the £5m mark. As the pandemic continued into 2021 and many agencies struggled to survive, Alex saw the opportunity to not only ‘build brands that change the world’ - his agency’s mission - but to become one.

2021 was a pivotal year for the agency. Fees grew by over 50% in 2021, driven by a mixture of strategic projects, including expansion of existing briefs into multiple creative disciplines, attracting new clients through an evolved proposition and expanding our horizons to the Southern Hemisphere by opening an office in Melbourne, Australia. Not only that, Manifest’s global team more than doubled, group profit margins tripled, we picked up 22 industry accolades for our creative work, we attracted some of the world’s most sought-after creative talent and we worked with nearly 30 new brands the world over. A committed advocate of communications for social good, Alex also sits on the board of three positive-impact brands, mentors industry leaders in brand purpose and innovation, and steers Manifest’s ventures division to build game-changing social enterprises of its own (a portfolio now valued in the £millions). Most importantly, Alex has changed what’s expected of an agency CEO, guiding this growth with an ego-free leadership philosophy and only two rules: work hard and be nice to people.
